Help!
General Comments
When creating the Chickscope website, the design
team attempted to make navigating through the vast
quantity of information easy and consistent. Easy in
that the younger visitor may enjoy the bright colors
and large buttons. Consistent in that each page has
a similar look and feel, with a common mechanism on
each page to move through the layers of pages on the
web site.
Each page attempts to present a set of visual cues
that help the reader identify their location within
the complex structure of the entire website. For
example, the title bars, as displayed in windowed
browsers like Netscape, indicate the path to
the current resource. Further cues will be discussed
below.
Every page on the Chickscope website has the same
document template: a chickscope banner across the
top, section tabs on the left hand margin,
subsection buttons along the bottom, and extra navigation
buttons (if needed) in the right-hand corners.
If a page lacks the Chickscope banner, then that
page probably exists on a server outside of the
Chicksope project. Every attempt has been made to
reduce the number of outside links, but occasionally
an outside link is not only required but
desirable. The banner should help identify a page as
being a Chickscope page very quickly.
This help page gives general help that applies to the
entire website. For help specific to the Chickscope
MRI Database or to the Chickscope
Scratchings,
