Day 1: The Journey Begins
A Microscope's View
The image to the right is of a 24
hour old chick embryo seen under a
light microscope. This is a top
view of the embryo. This is how
it would appear if you were
looking down on it laying on top
of its yolk. At this age the
embryo is about 30mm long from the
tip of its head to its tail. The
embryo has been stained to make it
easier to see under the
microscope.
